I currently have two children enrolled in our school system and another who has several years to go before starting school. I have always believed that education is a keystone for a successful community.  It is important to fund our school’s system in a way that allows for the best education possible for all the students. In addition to our K-12 schools; I believe that adult education, after school programs and our Westbrook Community Center programs are important factors in providing opportunities for learning.  Working with the private sector and developing other non-traditional education opportunities is important for workforce development and minimizing unemployment.

I also support a system that gives our public schools tools to communicate with parents and other means to improve our school system’s ability to facilitate the success of our English Language Learning student
